Queen butterfly
I'm butterfly mad
Hello.

I have decided to 'get with it' and give blogging a go.

About 18 months ago I started making cards for something to do. I can no longer work due to ill health and had often thought about card making. My daughters had bought me a book and a few items when I was still working, but I never had the time to have a go.

Little did I realise that I would become hooked!!!! when I did have a go.

Total card making addict now. I see potential card ideas in most things and places I go. It makes my parnter laugh.

At the moment I am making our wedding invitations and some cards for a school craft fair.

Most of the cards I have made to date have been for friends and family. My partner's mum has been my best customer and I have made loads of cards for her to send to friends for their special dates.

I will try and add some items I have made for you to look at.

Can't guarantee that intrustions will be added as I don't always remember how I made them as I get so ingrossed I just do it.

Love and Light

Done.

Well I have finally finished the evening wedding invitations. Just got the last 6 to send out. I am going to have a break them start the Order of Service. I am seriously thinking of getting someone else to do the table numbers, menu and place cards. Not meaning to sound mean but I am tired of the same theme at the moment and want to make different cards.
Not that many are selling at the moment but I so enjoy doing them.
I read a good piece from a friend's book called 'The Artist's Way' it said "Creativity is the natural order of life. Life is energy: pure creative energy."
Well at least now I know why I get so much out of crafting, just not the sort of energy I would also like to have. LOL

I am hoping to upload a pic of the invites but can't seem to get a good enough pic at mo. Not a photographer you see.

Mothers Day

Hope you all had a great Mother's Day. Whether as a mother or celebrating with your own Mum's day.
My Mum and future Mother-in-law where very pleased with their cards and it made it such a pleasure. It was the first time I had used an embossing folder to create the background. Then cut a swirly border. The card used is pastel pink pearlised.
This is a pic of one.

I believe a good weekend was had by all.

Well at last.

I have finally worked out how to add stuff to the blog..... I know I am slow when it comes to techno stuff.
Been busy making cards for a craft fair at a school in Leicester.
Well my friend and I enjoyed a good chat, but sold a tiny bit. I sold one card and she sold a couple and a bit of jewellery.
So it looks like it is back to the drawing board. Where else can we make our items seen or known about.
Will have to leave it alone for a bit as I must get the rest of the wedding invitations out.
Speak soon ... techno mind permitting. Lol
